ChingKe Lin is a contemporary artist from Taiwan who works primarily with bamboo, exploring the relationships between nature, material, and human experience through sculpture, installation, and land art. Drawing on traditional craftsmanship without being confined by its conventions, he expands the expressive possibilities of bamboo in contemporary art, developing a distinct sculptural language.
 

Central to his practice is an understanding of bamboo's inherent tension, flexibility, and natural structure. Rather than treating the material as something to be controlled, Lin approaches it as an active participant in the creative process. Guided by intuition and experimentation, he navigates the interplay between the material's natural properties and artistic freedom.

Rooted in traditional bamboo-weaving knowledge, his practice transforms established techniques through structural reconfiguration, shifts in scale, and spatial interventions. Liberated from their utilitarian origins, these techniques give rise to sculptural forms defined by movement and spatial tension. At times playful and light, at others monumental and contemplative, his works reveal the material's diverse possibilities through the interplay of nature and human intervention, order and freedom.
